Does anyone have a diagram for wiring a double slip switch, especially the centre portion past the isolated frogs? I use Caboose Industry ground throws with micro switches to power the frogs on standard switches but I'm not sure how to wire the slip switches. I've followed the gapping instructions. |

Double Slips (unlike a crossover) are EASY to wire. The RED top rail lines marked are one potential - the BLUE bottom rail lines marked are the other potential. Only the frogs have to change polarity based on the points throw. One thing to note - the points on the right control the frog polarity on the left and vice versa. Think the points and opposing frog as a turnout. Updated with clearer color graphic.

Thanks. I just built another one but haven't mounted it to the ties yet. I'll use your diagram and a multimeter to check polarity to make sure I understand what's going on. Easier to do it at the bench! Then I can wire up the other four that are installed. |
