Your PC board ties are noted as being 1/16”, or 0.063” thick and this is consistent with the PC board that I have used to hand-cut such ties in the past. Your wood ties are listed as being 0.08” thick which is consistent with the thickness of the flex-track I am using. In using PC board ties in you fixtures, how is the difference in height accounted for? 0.017” seems to be an awfully thick, thus inadvisable, solder joint. Or I suppose the wood ties could be sanded off to match, but that would take a lot more sanding than suggested in an 11/12/07 note on the subject, and would also cause a mismatch with the flex-track. Or are the PC board ties just allowed to “float” in the layout until eventual ballasting (hopefully) fills in the gap beneath them? Thanks, Tom Reilley
